Storms rolled in over Mt Stromlo from all directions this evening – but before the wash out there was a beautiful rainstorm to the east with late sun catching the hills behind Queanbeyan. The hill in the mid foreground is Mt Mugga Mugga – the quarry at the top of the hill is black in infrared with this low light. The image above is a 15K panorama from the Nikon D800 IR-mod.
Filming in light rain (and occasional near-by lightning strikes!) with the RED Dragon and Kipper Tie full-spectrum OLPF (720nm filter on the lens).
Rain continuing to fall behind Mt Mugga Mugga as things really start to get dark – east from Mt Stromlo (single frame from Nikon D800 IR-mod).
UPDATE | Footage of this storm is included in the last summer storm – Kipper Tie OLPF test piece.
